The original and some say the best - this is the bar that started it all! With gorgeous organic blueberries and cranberries teaming up with their uber-healthy buddies oats and chia, your little one won't know just how healthy they're being while munching on one of these. Isn't it funny how our kids eat so much healthier than we parents do?!
As with all our bars, these lovelies have no added sugar and are packed with organic goodies. The recipe is nut-free and can easily be made dairy-free. They can also be made egg-free - have a read a bit further down the page for how to do this.
These berry beauties are dense and moist, perfect for little chompers (or those without many chompers!).
What's in the pack?
Our Berry, Oat & Chia Bake-at-Home Mix contains one pouch of dry organic ingredients already carefully measured and mixed, and one pouch of organic dried blueberries and cranberries. You can find a full ingredients list a bit further down this page.
What do I need to have to make these bars?
You'll need just 3 things:
* 170g of lovely ripe banana (approximately 1 large banana - the squishier, the better!)
* 125ml (1 cup) milk; and
* 1 egg.
You can use non-dairy milk which will make these bars totally dairy-free. If you do use soy milk, almond milk or another non-dairy option, you'll need to increase the milk measurement to 170ml.
If you need an egg-free snack (or looking for a vegan option), you could also look at using a substitute for the egg such as banana, oil, or additional chia seeds. There are some great resources online with suggested egg alternatives such as this one and this one. We have used a tablespoon of oil in place of the egg and it has worked a treat.
How do I make the bars?
1. Blend the 3 ingredients listed above (you can use a blender, Nutribullet, Thermomix or Barmix - anything that can blitz things!)
2. Mix this with the dry ingredient pouch and dried fruit pouch in the pack
3. Spread the mix in a slice tin (18x28cm) and bake for around 30 to 35 mins

How many bars does a pack make?
One pack makes 16 snack-sized bars (though, of course, you can cut them into any size or shape you like!). See our tips of how we cut our bars here.
This bake-at-home pack contains gluten. Although this recipe is nut-free, it is packaged in a facility where nuts are present, so please take caution if your little one has allergies.
These bars can be made dairy-free by using a non-dairy milk as described above.
When made as directed, these bars contain egg. You can make the bars egg-free by using an egg substitute, again as described above.
Nutritional highlight - Blueberries:
Did you know that half a cup of blueberries has the same antioxidant content as 2-and-a-quarter cups of broccoli? I know which one I would rather eat! Gram-for-gram they are one of the richest food sources of antioxidants around, which help to protect everything from your heart to your vision.
Storage and use by information:
Our bake-at-home mixes don't contain any preservatives or nasties. Unopened, they'll keep in the pantry for a couple of months (there's a Best Before date on the back of the pack). Once baked, the best thing to do with our bars
Once baked, the best thing to do with our bars is freeze them! Not only will this lock in their freshness, it will also mean you have them on hand any time your baby or toddler needs a snack. All our bars freeze beautifully - keep them in an airtight container in the freezer and use within 4 weeks.
